Firefighter injured responding to vehicle wreck in Knightdale
An eastern Wake firefighter was injured early Wednesday responding to a vehicle accident in Knightdale, town officials said.

KNIGHTDALE, N.C. — An eastern Wake firefighter was injured early Wednesday responding to a vehicle accident in Knightdale, town officials said.
Emergency crews responded to a wreck near the intersection of Moon Valley Lane and Bethlehem Road in Knightdale at about 6:30 a.m. According to investigators, a car was hit as it was backing out of its driveway.
Firefighter William Boggs, who was responding to the wreck, suffered a broken leg when he became pinned between the two vehicles, state Highway Patrol officials said. Boggs was taken to WakeMed.
Minor injuries were reported in the wreck.
