Fire starts overnight at new Fuquay-Varina home

Fuquay-Varina, N.C. — A new home still under construction caught fire in Fuquay-Varina overnight.

The fire was reported before 2:30 a.m. on Delaney Hills Lane in the Meadowbrook by Lennar Homes community just off N.C. Highway 55.

Firefighters worked quickly to make sure other homes weren't damaged.

No one was injured because the house was vacant. Investigators are trying to determine the cause of the fire.

According to the community's website, homes in that neighborhood are priced starting at $312,990.
