Fire destroys Knightdale home, displaces 10
A blaze Tuesday night gutted a Knightdale mobile home where two families lived.

The blaze broke out at the home on South Smithfield Road about 7 p.m. A family friend said four of the 10 people who lived in the home were there when the fire started, and they got out safely.
“Everybody was crying, just scared,” neighbor Jose Hernandez said.
The Red Cross was assisting the residents.
Firefighters said the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
