Fire destroys home in Nash County

Rocky Mount, N.C. — A fire destroyed a home in Nash County early Monday morning.
Around 1 a.m., firefighters responded to the home on Bayview Drive. The house, which was recently sold, was vacant at the time of the fire.
Officials said a neighbor called 911 to report the massive fire, which destroyed the two-story home.
Online records show the home was sold on Dec. 28 for $279,000.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
