Crews brought a house fire on Camden Street under control within minutes Thursday morning, but the one-story home still suffered extensive damage.

RALEIGH, N.C. — Crews brought a house fire on Camden Street under control within minutes Thursday morning, but the one-story home still suffered extensive damage.

Fire officials said that several departments responded to calls about a fire at 311 Camden St. around 10 a.m.

One man was inside when the fire broke out but escaped uninjured.

The fire left the frame of the house still standing, but the interior sustained extensive damage.

Investigators did not yet know the cause of the fire.
