Fire burns abandoned building in Raleigh

No one was injured in a fire that broke out early Monday in an abandoned Raleigh building.

RALEIGH, N.C. — No one was injured in a fire that broke out early Monday in an abandoned Raleigh building.

The fire was reported about 4:15 a.m. at the building in the 4000 block of Old Poole Road. Firefighters from Eastern Wake and New Hope fire departments responded and brought the flames under control within an hour.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
