Fiery tanker crash sends thick smoke over I-85 in Greensboro
Parts of I-73 and I-85 in Greensboro were shut down Thursday after a fiery crash near where the highways intersect, according to the N.C. State Highway Patrol.
Posted — UpdatedGREENSBORO, N.C. — Emergency crews responded to a massive fire Thursday on Interstate-73 southbound in Guilford County.
WXII reported that I-73 southbound at the I-85 north on-ramp in Guilford County was closed. A viewer sent WRAL News photos of the fiery crash, which send thick smoke rising above the highway.
There is no word on the condition of the driver.
