Fiery crash with two tractor-trailers closes parts of I-85 near Hillsborough

The crash occurred at around 12:30 this morning and the interstate is still backed up. Officials say the road opened at around 8 this morning.

Video submitted by a viewer shows a tractor-trailer up in flames in a ditch on the side of the interstate near NC Highway 86.

There is currently a detour to direct drivers away from the traffic on US-70 while the interstate is closed.

Drivers are being directed to take Exit 170 for US-70 West, continue on the US-70 bypass and then get back on the Interstate at Exit 161.
