Cary, N.C. — Pink was the color of the day in Cary.
The town hosted Pink-Fest for breast cancer survivors, friends and family. It was the N.C. Triangle Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure’s first annual event to celebrate Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
Sunday's event at the Koka Booth Amphitheatre featured music, food and a silent auction.
Breast cancer survivors were also honored during a special ceremony.
WRAL's Pam Saulsby was the emcee for the event.
