FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — A Fayetteville woman plans to use her $2 million lottery prize to start her own business.

Yolande Tyler bought the winning $20 100X The Cash ticket at a Han-Dee Hugo on Carolina Beach Road in Wilmington when she stopped for a Dr. Pepper.

She hopes she can use the money to start a transportation service for seniors.

“I’m going to try and start my own business,” she said. “I was thinking about doing community van services. There are so many elderly people who need rides and a lot of people don’t have family around.”

Tyler claimed her prize Monday and chose the $1.2 million lump sum. After required federal and state tax withholdings, she took home $849,006.

She also plans to buy a house, pay off her car and set aside money for each of her children.
