FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — A Fayetteville teen has been charged with vandalizing 13 school buses, resulting in close to $1,000 in damage, authorities said Monday.

Keith Tyler, 17, of the 1800 block of Gola Drive, was charged with 13 counts each of felony breaking and entering of a motor vehicle and misdemeanor larceny. He was released in a $1,000 unsecured bond.

Authorities said buses parked at E.E. Smith High School were broken into on April 21. Fire extinguishers were sprayed into the buses, and some had graffiti sprayed on their windshields, authorities said.

Investigators said two juveniles also are suspected in the vandalism, but no further information was released.
