Fayetteville student assaulted in school bathroom

A student at 71st High School was charged Thursday with forcing another student into a school bathroom and then choking and sexually assaulting her, authorities said Friday.

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — A student at 71st High School was charged Thursday with forcing another student into a school bathroom and then choking and sexually assaulting her, authorities said Friday.

The alleged incident happened Jan. 21.

Shaihem Dayonte Robinson, 16, of Derbyshire Drive, was charged with first-degree kidnapping, first-degree sex offense and assault by strangulation. His bond was set at $25,000.
