FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Employees and diners were forced from Ryan's Steakhouse in Fayetteville Thursday afternoon when a fire broke out, witnesses said.

Ron Lewis, battalion commander for the Fayetteville Fire Department, said damage to the restaurant, at 1470 Skibo Road, was rather extensive and that he expected it would remain closed for at least three days

About 15 employees and 25 customers were inside when the fire started, but no injuries were reported.

There is no reason to believe the cause of the fire was suspicious, Lewis said. Fire investigators said the roof and rear of the building incurred the most extensive damage.
