Fayetteville, N.C. — Authorities evacuated students from Freedom Christian Academy in Fayetteville after construction crews cut a natural gas line Tuesday afternoon.
Fayetteville fire officials said firefighters were dispatched to the school at 3130 Gillespie St. shortly after 2 p.m.
One child became ill during the evacuation, said officials, who were unsure if the child was taken to the hospital.
The school is expected to open Wednesday.
