Fayetteville police seeking assistance in shooting investigation

Fayetteville Police detectives are asking for the public's help identifying two persons of interest in a shooting that happened on Dec. 30.

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Fayetteville Police detectives are asking for the public's help identifying two persons of interest in a shooting that happened on Dec. 30.

Officials said the victim, who was not identified, was shot in the parking lot of Baymont Inn along the 1900 block of Cedar Creek Road. Police responded to a shots fired call just after 11 a.m. and found the victim nearby in a vehicle.

The victim had non-life threatening injuries.

Detectives with the Fayetteville Police Department’s Aggravated Assault Unit are actively investigating the shooting and have obtained images of two persons of interest in this case.
