Fayetteville police seek 2 men after fatal shooting

Fayetteville police were searching for two black men who allegedly went into a house and shot a man in the head.

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Fayetteville police were searching for two suspects who allegedly went into a house and shot a man in the head.

Officers responded to 3573 Gazella Circle at 10:25 p.m. Sunday and found Jonathan Jones, 37, dead.

Detectives said they believe the shooting was drug-related.

Several other people were in the house at the time of the shooting, including several small children, police said. They were unharmed. Detectives had a very limited description of the suspects, who they said were two black men.
