Police arrest Fayetteville man wanted in South Carolina stabbing

Police in Fayetteville are searching for a armed and dangerous suspect who is wanted for stabbing a female victim in Florence County, South Carolina on Sunday morning.

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Police in Fayetteville on Sunday night arrested an armed and dangerous suspect wanted for stabbing a female victim in Florence County, South Carolina on Sunday morning.

Officers with the Fayetteville Police Department said Timothy Christopher Turbeville, 50, was last seen near Aloha Drive off of Ramsey Street after escaping from officers in a car, which he abandoned on Aloha Drive.

Authorities said they located Turbeville after receiving a tip from local residents. He was taken into custody without incident.

Turbeville was being transported to and area hospital and will be taken to the Cumberland County Jail, authorities said. The South Carolina Sheriff's Office will be notified of his arrest, authorities said.

Anyone with any information regarding the whereabouts of Mr. Turbeville is asked to call 911 immediately or Crime Stoppers at 910-483-8477.
