FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Fayetteville police said Friday they are searching for someone who stole a bright yellow Ferrari during a break-in at a home on Dante Lane.

Officers went to the home Thursday morning and found a window was forced open and electronics and jewelry were stolen. The burglar or burglars also found keys to a 2004 Spider Ferrari and drove it from the home. They said the break-in happened sometime between 11 a.m. Tuesday and 10 a.m. Thursday.

Police have recovered the vehicle, although they would not say how it was found and whether it was damaged. They are asking the public for help in identifying the person or persons responsible for the theft.

Anyone who might have seen someone driving the car or who has information about the incident is asked to call detectives at 910-433-1856 or Crime Stoppers at 910-483-8477. Crime Stoppers pays cash for information leading to an arrest, and callers can remain confidential.
