Fayetteville, N.C. — Police in Fayetteville are investigating at least two reports of people dropping harmful items from overpasses onto moving cars.
The first incident occurred on Feb. 17 on Martin Luther King Jr. Freeway near the Aresnal Pedestrian Bridge. Police said three "young males" were spotted holding a bucket of paint over the freeway. The trio emptied the paint onto the road, splattering it onto a car.
Another incident occurred Thursday on the Martin Luther King Jr. Freeway near Branson Street when someone threw a brick off an overpass, striking a car below.
No one was injured in either incident. Police did not confirm that the incidents were connected.
Both events are under investigation.
