FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Fayetteville police made a third arrest Friday in connection with the prostitution of a 17-year-old girl, which prompted charges last month against a Raleigh police officer.

Police said Sgt. Jason Brandon Hoyle, 34, was the teen girl's client and last saw her Feb. 7. He was arrested Feb. 16 and charged with promoting and participating in the prostitution of a minor.

The girl was charged with misdemeanor solicitation for prostitution.

Hoyle has been with the Raleigh Police Department since October 2000 and was assigned to the detective division.
