Fayetteville police looking for man who exposed himself, approached woman outside her home

Detectives with the Fayetteville Police Department's Special Victims Unit are asking for help from the public to identify a man who exposed himself to a woman outside her home on Dec. 5.

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Detectives with the Fayetteville Police Department’s Special Victims Unit are asking for help from the public to identify a man who exposed himself to a woman outside her home on Dec. 5.

Police said the man, wearing black pants, a dark hoodie and a blue surgical mask, walked toward a woman near the intersection of Strickland Bridge Road and Applecross Avenue making sexual comments and got out his penis.

The woman was able to get into her home and was unharmed.

Police did not have a detailed description of the man, but they reminded the public, especially women, to "remain vigilant and aware of their surroundings" when outdoors.
