Fayetteville police were investigating after a man was sent to the hospital after he was shot Friday afternoon.

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Fayetteville police were investigating after a man was sent to the hospital when he was shot Friday afternoon.

Police responded at 5:50 p.m. to a shooting call in the 400 block of Creek Run Trail. They found a man who was suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was sent to a local hospital where he was listed in stable condition Friday night.

Officials said the incident stemmed from a disturbance between neighbors that escalated to the shooting. No names have been released and the investigation was still being conducted Friday night.
