<b>FAYETTEVILLE, N.C.</b> — Fayetteville police said Friday that they are investigating the death of an infant. 

The child was found unresponsive in a home in the 600 block of Raven Place, off Cliffdale Road, just after 1 a.m. Friday, police said. 

The infant was taken to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center, where it was pronounced dead. 

Investigators said the major crimes unit is on scene investigating the incident. 

No other details of the case were released.
