Fayetteville police ID homicide victim, suspect

Fayetteville police on Thursday identified a man who was killed during a fight a day earlier and the suspect charged in the crime.

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Fayetteville police on Thursday identified a man who was killed during a fight a day earlier and the suspect charged in the crime.

Saketo Lujuno Sanford, 41, is charged with voluntary manslaughter in connection with the shooting death of Tyrone Leevon King, 38.

Officers were called about 12:30 a.m. Wednesday to a residence in the 1100 block of Alpha Drive, where they found King lying dead.

Police said the two men had an altercation that began at a nearby home and ended at the Alpha Drive address, where Sanford allegedly shot King.
