Fayetteville police asking for information after pedestrian struck, severely injured

On May 18, 2020, at 11:27 a.m., officers with the Fayetteville Police Department were dispatched to the intersection of Ramsey Street and Langdon Street in reference to a pedestrian being struck. The preliminary investigation revealed a female had been struck in the roadway.

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Fayetteville police said Monday afternoon that a female pedestrian was struck by a car, receiving life-threatening injuries.

On May 18, 2020, at 11:27 a.m., officers with the Fayetteville Police Department were dispatched to the intersection of Ramsey Street and Langdon Street in reference tothe incident. The preliminary investigation revealed a female had been struck in the roadway.

She was transported to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center with life-threatening injuries.

Ramsey Street between Langdon Street and Hillsboro Street was shut down while officers investigated the scene.

The identity of the injured person is being withheld, police said on Facebook.
