Fayetteville police ask help to ID man killed by car

A pedestrian died after being hit by a sport-utility vehicle Nov. 1 at 1936 Cedar Creek Road, police said.

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Fayetteville Police on Wednesday asked the public to help identify a man hit along Cedar Creek Road on Nov. 1.

Police described the man as black, approximately 5’9” tall and 170 pounds, with a shaved head and graying facial hair. He was wearing a blue NYPD sweatshirt at the time of the collision.

The initial investigation of the crash determined that the man stepped out into traffic at 1936 Cedar Creek Road just after 7 p.m. and was hit by an oncoming SUV.

Anyone with information about the unidentified victim is asked to call Fayetteville Police at 910-433-1856.
