FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Fayetteville police are asking for the public’s help in finding a man recently identified as a suspect in a September armed robbery and kidnapping.

Police said Randall Jay Johnson Jr., 21, was being shown a house for sale in the 500 block of Hickory Knoll Lane on Sept. 6 when he pointed a gun at the real estate agent, handcuffed and robbed him.

Police on Wednesday did not say why Johnson was named as a suspect about two months after the incident. They have obtained warrants charging him with robbery with a dangerous weapon and second-degree kidnapping.

Johnson is described as black, 6 feet 2 inches tall, about 220 pounds with a tattoo of his first name on his arm.

Anyone with information on Johnson’s location is asked to call 911 or Crime Stoppers at 910-483-8477. Crime Stoppers pays cash rewards for information leading to an arrest, and callers can remain confidential.
