Fayetteville pedestrian rushed to hospital after being hit by transit bus

Fayetteville police said one person was sent to the hospital with life-threatening injuries after being hit by a transit bus on Tuesday night.

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Fayetteville police said one person was sent to the hospital with life-threatening injuries after being hit by a transit bus on Tuesday night.

Police were called to the 400 block of Grove Street after getting a call of a vehicle crash at 7:42 p.m. involving a Fayetteville Area System of Transit bus. Investigators said a person was in the service bay of the building when a bus entered the bay and struck the victim.

The person was transported to UNC Chapel HIll. The identity of the person was not being released at this time.
