Fayetteville murder suspect sought

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Fayetteville police are searching for a man wanted in the Oct. 21. shooting death of a man in a house along Old Shaw Road. 

Kenneth Michael Burch, 20, is accused of first-degree murder in the death of Ernest Demetrus Rogers, 36. Police said that someone fired shots into a house, fatally shooting Rogers in the head.

Burch's last known address was 4407 Garnett St. in Fayetteville.

Burch was convicted of conspiracy to commit assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury in 2009 and served two months in jail, according to state Department of Correction records. He also has a misdemeanor drug conviction from 2008.
