FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Mayor Tony Chavonne announced Wednesday that he plans to seek a third-two-year term in office.
In a video on his Web site, Chavonne said, "The stakes are too high, the opportunities are too great, the future is too bright, not to push through to the end."

Chavonne was first elected in 2005 and was re-elected two years ago. He said Fayetteville is at "a critical crossroads," and he wants to help the city move forward.
