Fayetteville police searching for man who removed electronic monitoring device

On Wednesday at 2:41 a.m., officers discovered that Mario Cogdell, 42, of Fayetteville cut and removed his GPS ankle monitor that was installed after he posted his secured bond.

On Wednesday at 2:41 a.m., officers discovered that Mario Cogdell, 42, of Fayetteville cut and removed his GPS ankle monitor that was installed after he posted his secured bond.

Cogdell was out on bond for attempted robbery with a dangerous weapon and larceny of a motor vehicle.

Members of the Fayetteville Police Department are actively looking for Cogdell at this time.

Cogdell is described as a 5'7" man weighing approximately 189 lbs. with black hair.

His direction and mode of travel are currently unknown.
