FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — The Fayetteville Police Department said Friday that a man has been arrested after a standoff with officers.

Police said Friday the Violent Crime Apprehension Team received information on the location of a wanted suspect at a residence along the 2000 block of Caramel Drive.

The subject, 26-year-old Raeqwon Mitchell Carlisle, had warrants for his arrest for Parole Violation, three counts of possession of a firearm by a felon, larceny of a firearm, assault with a deadly weapon, assault on a female, misdemeanor larceny, communicating threats, carrying a concealed weapon and resist delay and obstructing a public officer.

During the attempt to arrest Carlisle, police said he barricaded himself inside the residence.
