Fayetteville, N.C. — Cumberland County sheriff’s detectives arrested a 44-year-old man Monday and charged him with sex crimes involving a young girl.
Investigators believe Howard Knight, Jr., whose last known address was the Value Place Motel on Bragg Boulevard, inappropriately touched the 10-year-old daughter of a female friend.
The girl told her mother about Knight's behavior, and the mother reported it to the sheriff's office.
Knight is charged with taking indecent liberties with a child, sexual act by substitute parent and first-degree statutory sexual offense. He was held in the Cumberland County Detention Center under $75,000 secured bond.
