Fayetteville Man Charged With Sex Crimes Against Children

Cumberland County sheriff’s detectives charged a Fayetteville man with sex crimes involving children.

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Cumberland County sheriff’s detectives charged a Fayetteville man with sex crimes involving  children.

Arnold Varnadoe, Sr. was taken into custody Wednesday. He faces two counts of disseminating obscene materials to a minor and one count of taking indecent liberties with a child.

According to investigators, Varnadoe’s victims, ages eight and four, said they were forced to watch sexually explicit videos and were touched inappropriately.

Varnadoe, 35, was released from custody under a $30,000 unsecured bond.

He is scheduled to make a first court appearance on Nov. 26.
