Fayetteville man charged with child rape

The victims told investigators that the attacks began in November 2005 when they were 1 and 5 years of age.

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Cumberland County detectives charged a Fayetteville man with raping two children for 2½ years.

The victims told investigators that the attacks began in November 2005, when they were 1 and 5 years of age.

Karesh Lamumba Forrest, 28, of 2806 Needle Drive, is in jail on domestic violence charges filed Sept. 14. On Monday, detectives charged him with first-degree statutory rape, taking indecent liberties with a child, crimes against nature and sex acts by a substitute parent.

His bail was set at $500,300.
