FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — A Fayetteville man was arrested Tuesday in a Monday morning hit-and-run on Bragg Boulevard that killed a pedestrian, police said.

Roger Lilly, 54, of the 3700 block of Bragg Boulevard, was charged with misdemeanor death by motor vehicle, two counts of felony hit-and-run causing personal injury, driving with a revoked license and failure to maintain lane control. He was being held in the Cumberland County jail under $17,000 bond.

Keith C. Jackson, 31, and Donna D. Jackson, 42, a husband and wife, were hit at about 11:30 a.m. Monday in the 3200 block of Bragg Boulevard, police said.

Keith Jackson died at the scene, and Donna Jackson was taken to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center with what appeared to be non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

A white box truck with no visible markings left the right side of the road, struck the pedestrians and drove off, police said.

Police located the box truck on Tuesday, leading to the charges against Lilly.

Outbound Bragg Boulevard was closed to traffic between Cain Road and William Clark Road for more than two hours as police investigated the crash.

Anyone with information about the crash is asked to call the Fayetteville Police Department’s Traffic Unit at 910-433-1807 or Crime Stoppers at 910-483-8477.
