Fayetteville man arrested in sexual assault of 13-year-old
Mario Deshawn Cotton, 28, of the 900 block of Rochester Drive was charged with two counts of statutory rape by an adult and second-degree kidnapping.

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — A Fayetteville man was arrested Monday in connection with the sexual assault of a teenage girl.
Mario Deshawn Cotton, 28, of the 900 block of Rochester Drive was charged with two counts of statutory rape by an adult and second-degree kidnapping.
Authorities said the charges stem from an incident Sunday involving a 13-year-old who was an acquaintance of Cotton.
Cotton was being held at the Cumberland County Detention Center under $500,000 secured bond.
