Fayetteville man facing over 80 felony charges

A Fayetteville man accused of stealing cigarettes, money and candy now faces 92 charges.

Christian Williams, 36, was charged with 29 counts of felony breaking and entering, 29 counts of felony larceny after breaking and entering, 30 counts of felony possession of stolen goods, two counts of attempted breaking and entering, six counts of felony conspiracy, injury to personal property and habitual larceny.

Fayetteville police said Williams stole over $47,000 worth of items. According to police, he targeted several convenience stores in Fayetteville, Cumberland and Harnett counties.

Williams was arrested on July 24.

He remained at the Cumberland County Detention Center under a $326,000 bond.
