FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Four people went to a hospital Wednesday night after a three-vehicle crash on N.C. Highway 87 near Sandhill Road in Fayetteville.

A PT Cruiser driven by Sharon Robinson, of St. Pauls, failed to yield and turned in front of a tractor-trailer, according to troopers. The tractor-trailer then hit the PT Cruiser and a Dodge Charger.

Two people in the PT Cruiser and two people in the Charger were taken to a local hospital. The tractor-trailer driver was treated at the scene.

Sharon Robinson’s sister, Bernetta Robinson of New Jersey, was injured. Her condition was unknown. She was in town for her niece’s graduation, troopers said.

Charges were pending against Sharon Robinson, authorities said, noting that speed and alcohol were not factors in the crash.
