Fayetteville burglary suspect arrested
Cumberland County Sheriff’s Deputies have arrested a man wanted in a rash of home break-ins.
Posted — UpdatedDetectives said Thaggard; Ramone Haison Ethridge, 27, of 425 Sherman Drive; and Christopher Michael Epps, 16, of 107 Bruce Lane, allegedly kicked in the doors of four apartments off Elk Road in Fayetteville on May 1.
A pregnant woman called 911 and hid with her 4-year-old child in the upstairs bathroom after she heard the front door of her apartment crash open, authorities said.
Deputies caught Ethridge and Epps in the parking lot of Massey Hill Classical High School on Southern Avenue.
Ethridge and Epps both face felony charges of breaking and entering, larceny after breaking and entering, and possession of stolen goods.
Thaggard was on probation for a conviction on carrying on a concealed weapon in February 2007. He served 33 days in jail for a previous probation violation in 2003.
Thaggard is being held in the Cumberland County Detention Center under a $22,000 bond, as well as a no bond hold by the U.S. Marshals Office.
