Fayetteville ATM mechanic charged with embezzling $400K

A Fayetteville man who was the subject of a Silver Alert in February was indicted on charges of embezzlement by a bank employee, a police spokesman said Saturday.

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — A Fayetteville man who was the subject of a Silver Alert in February was indicted on charges of embezzlement by a bank employee, a police spokesman said Saturday.

John Michael Feltovic, 43, was reported missing on Feb. 4., shortly before authorities were contacted about the missing money, police said.

Feltovic was employed as an ATM mechanic and is accused of stealing $400,000.

It wasn't clear whether Feltovic was in custody or still missing. The Secret Service is investigating, police said.

No other information was released.
