Fatal crash reported in Knightdale
A driver was killed in a head-on collision early Sunday in Knightdale, according to the North Carolina State Highway Patrol.

Troopers said the driver, Jaimes Davis, 21, of Zebulon, was driving on Smithfield Road near Joyful Lane when he crossed the center line and struck another vehicle.
Davis, who was not wearing a seatbelt, died at the scene. His passenger, Brenden Tyler, 19, of Knightdale, and the driver of the other car, Keyonna Chatmon, 26, of Cary, were taken to WakeMed with serious but non-life threatening injuries.
Chatmon was charged with driving while impaired, troopers said.
The crash remains under investigation.
