Fans help Triangle food truck back on the road after fire
A Triangle family is hoping to get their popular food truck back on the road following a fire last week.
Posted — Updated"Thankfully, everyone got out without any injuries, but unfortunately, the truck had irreparable damages and is a total loss," owner wrote on the company's Facebook page last wek.
"They reached out to us to give us all their support and help (because they want our empanadas back at their lunch hour!)," Spanglish owners wrote via social media.
On Friday, Spanglish owners announced that they have found a new truck and will be back on the road as soon as it is finished being outfitted with the equipment they need.
"Spanglish doesn’t get knocked down for long! We pooled all our resources, lined up all our contacts, and called in a few favors. We can now announce that we’re coming back on the road as soon as our new truck gets completed. It’s going to be lean and mean (and way easier to drive!)," owners wrote.
Owners said that donations on the Go Fund Me page are still being accepted as insurance only covered part of the truck and equipment damaged in the fire.
"There were so many other things lost in the fire, like our cooking utensils, food stock, cash money from the register, receipt printers, paperware, mobile device for taking orders, even our team member’s glasses," owners wrote.
