Family of 3 safe after fire tears through Fuquay-Varina home
Fire tore through a Fuquay-Varina home Friday morning.

FUQUAY-VARINA, N.C. — Fire tore through a Fuquay-Varina home Friday morning.
Firefighters responded to 213 Woodland Drive, west of downtown Fuquay-Varina, before 4 a.m.
Three people who live in the home made it outside safely, but their home was significantly damaged.
At 5:30 a.m., flames were extinguished, but firefighters were still working to put out hot spots.
Fire and smoke damage was present on the roof and throughout the length of the home, and glass was smashed out all the front windows.
The cause of the fire is unknown.
