RALEIGH, N.C. — Downtown Raleigh's popular outdoor movie series "Cinema in the Square" will continue into October.

The movie screenings were scheduled for June, July and August, but inclement weather caused some nights to be postponed.

Screenings will be held on select Thursdays in August, September and October in Moore Square Park. Each night includes pre-show entertainment. Admission is free and food will be available for purchase.

All pre-show entertainment will start at 7 p.m. and end around 8:30 p.m. when the movies start screening around dusk.

Here's a look at the updated schedule:

  • Aug. 25: Shrek - Before the show participate in a Hero's & Dragons Scavenger Hunt plus learn to make your own dragon eggs.
  • Sept. 4: Black Panther - Before the show enjoy some Marvel trivia and a costume contest for all-ages with cool prizes, plus face painting.
  • Oct. 27: Ghostbusters: Afterlife - Before the show enjoy Raleigh's Ghost History presentation and learn to make your own slime.

All ages are welcome but parental guidance is suggested.
