Family escapes northwest Raleigh house fire, home badly burned
Two people escaped an overnight house fire in northwest Raleigh.

RALEIGH, N.C. — Two people escaped an overnight house fire in northwest Raleigh.
Firefighters responded to the home on Cagle Drive, in a neighborhood off Leesville Road, around 11:30 p.m. Thursday night.
The two-story home was badly damaged along with the family's two BMWs, which were parked in the driveway. The siding of a neighbor's home was also affected.
A neighbor reported hearing explosion sounds during the fire.
No one was injured. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
