Family Dollar store robbed in Durham

Durham police are asking the public for help to solve an armed robbery that happened last week at a Family Dollar store.

DURHAM, N.C. — Durham police are asking the public for help to solve an armed robbery that happened last week at a Family Dollar store.

Investigators say it happened around 3:20 p.m. Feb. 22 at the store at 5178 Wake Forest Highway.

The robber was described as a white man about 5 feet 9 inches tall and in his early- to mid-20s with shoulder-length brown hair. He was wearing a white T-shirt and black jeans.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Durham Police Department at 919-560-4281, extension 29123, or Crime Stoppers at 919-683-1200.

Crime Stoppers pays cash rewards for information leading to arrests in felony cases and callers never have to identify themselves.
