RALEIGH, N.C. — Power lines that fell after a crash on Thursday night blocked Falls of Neuse Road in Raleigh for several hours on Friday morning.
Seven lanes of traffic were blocked early Friday morning near Cedarhurst Drive from the downed power lines.
Officials say that the crews weren't able to cut the power lines in the area because it would cut power to several businesses and homes.
People should avoid this area during their morning commute, according to officials.
As of 6:30 a.m., the road near Cedarhurst Drive has been reopened.
The driver of the crash that caused the mess fled the scene, authorities said.
