FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Months after his daughter, Tabitha Goins, was last seen, Frank Eason says his faith and family keep him going.

Eason said he believes a stabbing last week is linked to suspicions about her disappearance. Tabitha Ann Goins, 39, was last seen Nov. 21 fleeing from a home on N.C. Highway 87 in Gray's Creek during a raid by state Alcohol Law Enforcement agents.

Anthony Goins, Eason's son-in-law and the estranged husband of Tabitha Goins, was arrested last Wednesday on charges of attempted murder and assault with a deadly weapon with the intent to kill inflicting serious injury. He remains in the Cumberland County jail under $200,000 bond.

Eason says his son-in-law bumped into the man believed to have been the last to see Tabitha Goins alive at a gas station in Gray’s Creek.

While he doesn’t know why Anthony Goins would attacked Lesesane, Eason noted the family believes Lesesane knows more about Tabitha Goins’ disappearance than he's told law enforcement.

"He wouldn't even go down and take a polygraph test. He lawyered up, so something ain't right there," Eason said. "I'm not saying Dennis is guilty, but I told him to his face, I said, 'You were the last one to see her.'"

According to authorities, Anthony Goins got into Lesesane's car to discuss his wife’s disappearance, and at some point, Goins pulled out a sharp object and severely cut Lesesane’s face and throat.

Goins jumped out of the car as Lesesane pulled up outside the Gray's Creek Fire Department, at 2660 Sandhill Road, and firefighters provided medical treatment for Lesesane. He was then taken to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center, where he underwent surgery to repair the slash wounds.

Anyone with information on Tabitha Goins’ whereabouts is asked to call the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office at 910-323-1500 or Crime Stoppers 910-483-8477.
