A frightening call no business owner wants to receive.

Fleck said he and his wife opened Roshambo Beverage Company so customers can enjoy a drink and wind down with games.

"[We] just wanted to create a space where there’s stuff to do," Fleck said.

But danger hit too close to home when multiple gunshots were fired downtown Monday night. One of those bullets hit the store with 10 people inside.

"It’s very frustrating, especially in the sense that we’re open and had customers here," Fleck said.

Ethan Overman said it's sad to imagine innocent lives put at risk at his favorite hangout spot.

"You don’t want to worry about a bullet coming through the window like that," Fleck said. "Everybody was just in here enjoying themselves. It wasn’t anything that anyone here did."

Fleck said Roshambo is a place for people to enjoy themselves, and he hopes the downtown shooting doesn’t ruin its reputation.

"We don’t want it to affect our patrons in any way," Fleck said. "I don’t want anyone to feel like they are in danger no matter where they are at."

Raleigh police still do not have anyone in custody.

While no one was hurt, Fleck said he’s going through the process of speaking with the insurance company.
